A patient with a myeloproliferative disease (MPD) has a higher than normal number of one or several different blood cells. The diseases discussed here are myeloproliferative but are less common and are thus grouped together. If you seeking information about the overlap conditions it would also be useful to read the information about the more common MPDs (Essential Thrombocythaemia, Polycythaemia Vera, and Myelofibrosis).

Conditions discussed here include:

  • Chronic eosinophilic leukaemia (CEL) or hypereosinophilic syndrome (HE)
  • Chronic neutrophilic leukaemia
  • Chronic myeloproliferative disease, unclassifiable
  • Myeloproliferative/myelodysplastic unclassified
